The King Stan Band...
is a rhythm and blues band founded in 2007. The band is made up of blues legend Stan Stroman on vocals and guitar, Smoke’n Joe Poffel on bass and vocals, Ted Loughry on guitar and Mark Marusin on drums and vocals.
The band has a unique blend of soulful blues, 60s R & B, and rock. Stan’s vocals take you back to an era where master bluesmen perfected a craft that delivered incredible harmonies in conjunction with hard driving rhythms. Stan's guitar work blends perfectly with Joe’s classic bass lines and Mark’s foot-stomping drum beats.
Along with many originals, the band also performs unique arrangements of songs by Wilson Pickett, James Brown, Junior Walker, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miles, and BB King.
As one of Colorado’s finest Rhythm and Blues bands, they can be found performing at multiple venues in the Denver area.
